What Bose products are compatible with Bose AR?

All Bose Frames, Bose NC 700 Headsets and select  Bose Quiet Comfort 35 wireless headphones II manufactured after October 22, 2018, and Bose Custom Quiet Comfort 35 wireless headphones II manufactured after March 1, 2019, can be Bose AR-enabled with a firmware update available via the Bose Connect app and the updater site, see here Additionally, the QC35 II’s that are Bose AR-enabled can be identified via the serial number that ends in “AZ”.

I bought my Bose Quite Confort in Italy only on January 15, 2019 and unfortunately their construction date is just October 22nd 2018 and the serial number ends with AE, I'm really sorry being also the LIMITED EDITION series that I can not use of this innovation

    Hey Admins!
Is there any possibility to get Bose Frames delivered to Germany or do you know about the planned launch date in the German market?
    Kind regards,

Any shipping date for Bose Frames in EU? I'm willing to develop some apps for them, but I'd like to get the hardware to test my apps!

Dotty has just started developing on your Frames AR glasses. Any info on the codecs supporter for low latency? AAC for IOS? AptX for Android?

Second question. I’ve noticed the microphone in the Frames is crackly and doesn’t pickup as well as other Bose headphones. Is anyone else experiencing this?

    Hi WesMC,

The Bose Frames and QC35 II Headphones (that are Bose AR-enabled) support AAC on iOS and SBC on iOS and Android. We do not currently support any low latency codec like Aptx.

2nd question: Clear the paired device list of both the Bose product and Bluetooth device
Clear the paired Bluetooth device memory from the Bose product and Bluetooth device (or at least remove the Bose product from the device's memory). Once cleared, re-pair the Bose product to the device. This creates a new pairing in case the previous pairing became corrupt

I wanted to bring it everyone's attention that the updater referenced in this article does not recognize the QC35 IIs as Bose AR enabled and will not offer to update the firmware. I was stuck for a few days not realizing that there was a different updater that I should be using until I came across this forum post.

This updater did the trick! -
