Bose AR is thrilled to announce that our new Bose AR App Certification process, v4 SDKs, and libraries are now available on our Developer Portal!

In case you missed it, we have put together a blog of all Bose AR launches this month.

New Bose AR App Certification

For those who have been patiently waiting to be able to publish Bose AR apps, and those who are arriving at that phase in development now, thank you for your patience!

So, what is the Bose AR certification process?

Prior to being submitted to the Apple App or Google Play Store, an app must be certified by Bose. The following links will act as a guide and help Developers navigate through expectations of quality as well as functionality for the certification process.

You can find more details about how to get your Bose AR application certified for submission to the Apple App or Google Play Store here at Bose AR Certification

Released V4 SDKs

We have released new and significantly improved v4 versions of the Bose AR SDKs for iOS, Android, and Unity. The new versions include many significant updates such as support for the new intent-based gesture recognition system, secure pairing functionality, and compatibility with the new Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 series. Additionally, there are many other bug fixes, improvements, and new features added with the V4 SDK.

Visit Bose AR SDK Downloads to download and access the new V4 SDK.

First Bose AR Libraries

We are excited to announce the availability of the first Bose AR Libraries. These libraries deliver new functionality that works with the Bose AR SDK, making it easier for developers to create engaging AR experiences. The first set includes Mach1 Spatial Audio, for creating immersive spatial audio experiences, and Gestures, which interprets raw sensor data as natural head movements. Libraries will initially be available for iOS as a limited beta, and developers can request access at Bose AR Libraries

As always, if you have any technical questions related to the hardware or software, please reach out on our forums.
